ProVisual Privacy Policy

ProVisual is developed and published by ProActive Developers. This Privacy Policy explains how ProVisual handles information and device permissions.

1. Privacy summary

ProVisual operates offline and does not:

• Collect or share personal information
• Create user accounts
• Display advertisements
• Use analytics or tracking services
• Upload camera images or audio
• Transmit USB-device or usage information
• Use cloud services

2. Camera access

ProVisual displays video from a compatible USB UVC document camera.

Camera frames are processed temporarily and locally on the Android device. They are not transmitted over the internet or automatically saved.

Android requires the CAMERA permission before granting access to USB video-capture devices. ProVisual does not access the Android device’s built-in camera.

3. Microphone permission

Some document cameras expose both video and audio interfaces. Android may require the RECORD_AUDIO permission to grant access to these composite USB devices.

ProVisual does not record, listen to, store, or transmit audio. It does not use the Android device’s built-in microphone.

4. USB-device information

ProVisual may locally process technical details such as:

• Device and manufacturer name
• USB vendor and product identifiers
• Supported resolutions and frame rates
• Available camera controls
• USB permission status

This information is used only to establish and manage the camera connection. It is not transmitted or shared.

5. Data collection, sharing, and retention

ProVisual does not collect, share, sell, or remotely store user data.

Temporary camera frames remain in device memory only as long as necessary to display the preview. Local app settings can be removed by clearing the app’s data or uninstalling ProVisual.

Because no personal information is collected, there is no server-side user data to access, export, correct, or delete.

6. Third-party services

ProVisual does not use advertising networks, analytics platforms, social networks, cloud storage, or third-party tracking services.

Open-source components used for USB-camera communication and interface rendering operate locally and do not transmit user data.

7. Children’s privacy

ProVisual is a general-purpose utility and is not specifically directed toward children. It does not knowingly collect personal information from children or other users.

8. Security

ProVisual reduces privacy risks by operating offline and avoiding the collection, transmission, and remote storage of user data.

Users remain responsible for the security of their Android device, connected camera, and displayed content.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when ProVisual’s functionality or legal obligations change. The latest version will be published on this page with an updated effective date.
